ABOUT

Hi, I’m Laszlo Tamasfi (he/him), a Hungarian-American horror writer, translator, and role-playing game designer. I run Strangers From Nowhere, a small press specializing in illustrated horror paperbacks, limited edition hardcovers and zines.

My comics include
Invisible Hands and The Observatory. My TTRPG works include The Conduit, a journaling solo game, and Pod People, a TTRPG zine inspired by the body-snatching alien invasion movies of the '50s and the '80s. I'm also the translator of Dracula's Death, the novelization of the very first Dracula movie, which was made in Hungary in 1921 - one year before F. W. Murnau's Nosferatu!

I have a biweekly newsletter where I talk about writing, publishing, and the things that inspire me.

You can find all the links to my socials here. I’m a member of the HWA’s Chicagoland Chapter.
